I've tried basically every method I can possibly think of, but inevitably, after one or two successful boots into Windows, I get that 0xc Asus P6X58D Premium Marvell 9123 Controller, OR, I boot and it tells me CHKDSK needs to run and it proceeds to mark just about every file on the hard drive corrupt. I've updated to the latest non-beta drivers from Station-drivers and have the same problems no matter what. Marvell put out a utterly beta piece of hardware, everyone implemented it, and then they never actually got the thing working as it should've. Completely unacceptable, and yet just another nonsense system builders have to put up with because we've basically got no recourse.
This means you will max out below the SATA3 threshold.

Does anyone know what this is? It is not the regular Asus P6X58D.
Most SATA 3. I'm not sure if there's anything to fuss about.
Hello everybody I'd reading in this and other forums about the marvell's poor performance. What I don't understand is how those motherboards were sold being sata III compliant when obiously they aren't?. Offers voltage control and monitoring, access to power buttons, etc, POST reader.

Can't say I have, nor would I personally I just dislike the idea of software controlled overclocking from the OS. If you aren't looking for a lot I would grab a sabertooth and if you feel the need at any time you could fairly easily mount a fan to the heatsink, or if you don't mind taking a bit of time you could figure out a way to mount something. The chipset didn't get close to it's thermal limit, I had mine up to around 50c in a 72F room with an i7 4ghz after about 2 hours of Asus P6X58D Premium Marvell 9123 Controller with HT on.
Saturday, September 6, 5: By the way, the prior user didn't actually do what he thinks he did. TS, i'm planning to buy an Asus P6X58D premium in combination with the i7 and the crucial c as well.
